Overview
Haad Rin has two beaches, and this small resort is on the gentler one. The Laid Back Resort faces Haad Rin Nai, the Sunset Beach side of the peninsula, so evenings are more about watching the light fade over the water than about the sound systems on the far shore.
It's a modest place with about nine rooms, all with sea views. Each comes with its own bathroom, air-conditioning and somewhere to sit outside, either a balcony or a terrace, and the line-up runs from standard twins and doubles to queen rooms and a classic triple for three friends sharing. Outside there are sun loungers on the beach, a sun terrace, a garden and a picnic area.
On a Tripadvisor forum, past guests describe it as a long-running spot with plenty of regulars who come back year after year.

Location
The address is 86 Moo 6, Haad Rin, in Ban Tai subdistrict. Listings put the centre of Haad Rin village about ten minutes away on foot, with Haad Rin Nok, the Full Moon Party beach, roughly 15 minutes' walk across the peninsula.
That gives you a short stroll to the party and the village bars and restaurants, with a calmer beach to come back to. Haad Rin pier is close by for boats, and taxis run from the village to Thong Sala.
