Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data Staywren collects, why, and the choices you have. Last updated 10 October 2026.
Who is responsible for your data
The Staywren team is the controller of personal data collected through this site. Contact: info@staywren.com.
What we collect
When you browse the site
Our hosting provider processes technical data that every website receives, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We don't use an analytics tool. When you click a booking button, we record the date, the hotel and which booking partner was used, without your IP address and without cookies, so we can see which partners work best.
When you click through to a booking partner
Our redirect page records that a booking button was clicked (the hotel, the partner and the page it was clicked on), without identifying you. If you entered dates and a number of guests, these are added to the link so the partner can show them. We don't send the partner your name, email or any other personal data. Once you are on the partner's site, their privacy policy applies.
When you email us
We keep your email address and message so we can reply, and delete them within 12 months unless we need them for an ongoing matter.
Photos and maps
Hotel photos are loaded from Booking.com's image servers, which receive your IP address as part of delivering the image. "Open in Google Maps" links only contact Google when you click them.
Our legal basis
We rely on legitimate interests to run, secure and measure the site and to reply to your messages. We don't use your data for automated decisions or advertising profiles.
Who we share data with
- Our web hosting company, which stores and serves the site
- Our analytics provider, if listed above
- Our email provider, if you email us
Some of these providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is covered by the UK's adequacy regulations or by approved contract terms.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to our use of it, or ask us to restrict it. Email info@staywren.com. We'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). We'd appreciate the chance to sort it out first.
